This great community event is organised by the Metropolitan Police, and features lots of free and affordable family activities.
We’ll be there displaying some of our Meccano models, and you can get hands-on by building your own Meccano models in our Make It With Meccano workshop!
The workshop is suitable for participants aged 8+ and instructions for some easy-to-build starter models will be provided, or you can do your own thing. Our members will be on-hand to provide assistance.
Some of the other attractions at the festival in previous years have included:
- The Metropolitan Police, along with their horses and the police cadets putting on a display of marching/drumming
- The London Fire Brigade
- The London Ambulance Service
- The Air Cadets Band
- The Charlton Athletic Football Club Community Team
- Sidcup Rugby Club
- Animal Days Out, bringing furry creatures and reptiles to see and hold
- The Long Pond beer tent
- Bouncy castles
- Face painting
