Due to the coronavirus pandemic this meeting was cancelled and was held ‘virtually’ online via Google Meet.
At around 2:00pm we had a short committee meeting, followed by the Model Tour in which members were invited to give a short talk about their models — in particular their entries for the Secretary’s Challenge!
The Two Different Parts Only Secretary’s Challenge
In this Challenge our members had to build a model of any subject. The restriction was that they had to choose two different parts and the model had to be made from any number of those two parts.
They could use as many nuts, bolts (any length or type including grub screws etc.) and washers as they liked. The parts had to have their own unique Meccano part number so, for instance, if they choose part № 1, 12½” Perforated Strip and part № 1a, 9½” Perforated Strip then they had to make the entire model from those!
