London’s most popular Meccano Show returns to Falconwood for its 45th year!

  • See working models of cars, cranes, trains, funfair rides and more, all built from Meccano, the famous construction toy invented by Frank Hornby in 1901, plus non-Meccano guest exhibits and activities including:
    • Waledale — An N gauge model railway layout set in the western region of British Rail after the nationalisation of Great Western Railway in 1948–9.
    • Relham — An N gauge model railway layout based around a small town in which the railway is transitioning from steam to diesel traction. Have fun finding the secret features that have been hidden within the layout!
    • The Electronics Club Circuits Workshop — Build working circuits such as traffic lights using real electronic components and microchips. Parts, simple instructions and guidance will be provided.
    • A table-top Hornby Dublo model railway layout from Bexhill Model Railway Club.
    • A table-top Hornby Tinplate clockwork model railway layout from Croydon Model Railway Society.
  • Build a model from instructions in our Make It With Meccano Workshop, with guidance from our members.
  • Build your own model using our parts and enter it into our Creative Challenge for the chance to win a prize (entries must be submitted by 3:00pm).
  • Buy Meccano parts from our dealers.
  • Win prizes in our raffle.

It’s a great day out for all the family, and free for accompanied kids!

Refreshments and accessible facilities for wheelchair users available.

  • Please note that the Meccano Show was previously advertised as taking place on Saturday 5 October 2024, and it has now been rescheduled to take place on Saturday 2 November 2024 instead.

Calling all makers!

Are you a model maker, a member of a model engineering club, or an operator of STEAM workshops for children? We’re looking for people with interests related to Meccano (e.g. Hornby products, model railways, live steam, die-cast models, 3D printing, robotics, electronics etc.) who are available to exhibit/run workshops at our Meccano Show.

There will be no charge for exhibiting and we can provide tables, chairs and power, so if you are interested please get in touch as soon as possible.
