Triumph TR3A Car
Built by Chris Fry in October 2007
This approx. 1:12 scale model of a Triumph TR3A was constructed by following an article by Bernard Perier in issue 77 of Constructor Quarterly.
It is hopefully much improved by the addition of spoked wheels, and I found that the spoked hubs from the crazy Inventors “Rattle-Trap” kits could be adapted to take 1½” road tyres using strips of H-section styrene.
During construction the interior was provided with carpet, a luggage rack, spare wheel and an air-intake grille. The model has working self-centering steering and simulated front brake discs and rear brake drums can be seen behind the spoked wheels.
