Ferris Wheel
Built by Frank Paine in January 2002
A Dealers display model of a Big Wheel fairground ride, in 1940s/50s medium red and green Meccano.
This is mains powered, has coloured lights round the circumference of the rotating wheel, which has eight seats suspended from it, and it has an illuminated base.
The original translucent “MECCANO” sign at the front of the base was missing when Francis acquired it, but Mike Rhoades kindly lent him one from his similar model for him to copy.
