My derivative of the cover featured motorcycle from the recent 5-Model ‘multimodel’ 3550 kit. The shock absorber can easily be uprated by disassembly of the unit by carefully indenting the plastic latch just inside the slotted recess on the ‘damper’ and reassembling with one of the small tyres that use a plastic collar as a centre. For my version I have added a headlamp, mudguards, brake discs, a single cylinder engine, wheel alignment and chain tension adjustment, working sidestand, as well as handlebar and footrest rubbers. I have also replaced the rubber collars with ‘aero’ collars in order that the model stays together, unlike the kit design.
