Jumbo Crane

A set 8 model from 1954 set of Manuals, a deceptively simple model of a 1950s Jumbo crane.
The model’s steering system as built is very poor, and has been modified. The jib elevating is done using screwed rods and works reasonably. The jib head also moves; that is also controlled by a screwed rod system.
The model’s reliability has not been very good; the rear wheel steering was poor, and was re-designed, and the gearing for the jib lifting needs more thought, due to high loading.
