Lunar Landing Module
Built by Ralph Laughton in June 2011 for the Other Systems Secretary’s Challenge
Build a model from one of Meccano’s “other systems” — that sounded like a good excuse to buy a Bayko set! A search on eBay soon showed that if I was going to build anything of any worth I would have to make a substantial investment. Second choice was plastic Meccano.
A few punts on eBay soon prevented me from acquiring the larger sets with all the useful bits in them like the bevel gears, worm gears and girders. So it was back to reality; after all, this is only a club Challenge. 3.75 secured me a 200 set and with what I had laying around I had enough to build a couple of the box-art models.
This model is supposed to be a lunar landing module.
