Meccano Show Sign
Built by Tim Surtell in October 2010
This sign depicts our new “Meccano Show” logo. The main part of the logo is made from newly painted Meccano strips. These are secured to a specially printed and machine-cut piece of foam board.
The sign is illuminated from above by six low-voltage lamps mounted inside a long black housing. This housing has tin-foil inside to make the most of the light from the lamps.
2014
The design of the lighting bar has been changed, and there are now three 12V 35W halogen bulbs giving a much brighter and more even illumination of the sign.
