Built by Tim Surtell in May 2001 for the More Oldest Set Manual Models Secretary’s Challenge
In the oldest photo I have of me building with Meccano I am holding this model, which was featured in the № 3 set manual that came with my first Meccano set in 1994.
So for the club’s ‘More Oldest Set Manual Models’ Secretary’s Challenge in June 2026 I dug out the manual and built a modified version of this model with a different motor/battery.
