Mill Engine

This model includes Corliss valve gear, a system that has separate inlet and exhaust valves of a cylindrical structure with the timing controlled via a governor. It was patented in 1849 by the American engineer George Henry Corliss.

Corliss engines were approximately 30% more efficient and were widely used on large stationary engines.

The model is powered by a small 12V non-Meccano electric motor.
