Paraffin Heater
Built by Peter Clay in January 2012 for the Snow Secretary’s Challenge
A small paraffin heater. We had one in my childhood which was lit in cold weather (hence the snow connection) and placed in the bathroom, to keep the temperature just above zero. Used in houses with no central heating, double glazing etc. The boiler end and wheel flange are the tank and base. The sleeve piece is the removable gauze cover over the wick. The filler cap and wick adjustment screw are modelled.
