Eight feet of 3½” gauge track made entirely from Meccano, with two wagons and an industrial diesel locomotive.
The wagon feature working drop doors and brakes that operate. The locomotive can haul or push the wagons.
16 Ton Ballast Wagon
Many thousands of these vehicles were built for British Rail to carry coal, iron ore and commodities nationwide.
12 Ton Ballast Wagon
These vehicles were used in re-ballasting track.
Diesel Locomotive
This is a typical four-wheel diesel locomotive used in works siding for steel works, ports or other industrial use. It is driven by a powerful electric motor under the bonnet, driving the axles by gearing and side rods.
