Soul Shaker Fairground Ride
Built by Santiago Plicio in October 2012
This model is based on the fairground concept of a rotating structure holding four cars and four seats. The seats are permanently fixed, but the cars are held with hinges and tension springs to make them jump if an obstacle is placed underneath the main wheels, so the name “Soul Shaker” was chosen.
Four columns support a roof structure with an interior transformer light, a front area with a kiosk, steps etc. and many embellishments.
The model is fitted to a base holding the motor and gear system with a final axle connecting the rotating unit, held in place with only two bolts making it removable for easier transportation due to its heavy weight.
