Automatic Lift Mechanism

This lift does not need its motor to be reversed. It uses a large pulley block at a 1:4 mechanical disadvantage. Because of this you would not expect to see this mechanism in real life, but actually there are some. This model will be shown at the Eltham Centre in September 2016. In order to make it more reliable I redesigned the mechanism. The pulley arm is now directly bolted to the 3½” gear wheel to avoid the gear wheel slipping on its rod. Also the lift is more visible.
