Synchronous Motor

This motor is taken from the Elektrikit manual and runs from 15V AC. The idea is to turn the spindle at 750rpm to get it going. At this speed the bolted areas on the wheel are moving at 50Hz, the same as the AC mains in the UK. It needs a lot of patient flicking to achieve this.
