The Rockafella Robot
Built by Santiago Plicio in October 2010
This light-hearted but heavy-footed construction represents a robot with rhythm.
His freelance design is made to ensure all the weight is at the bottom of the model to firmly anchor him down and provide the stability that his moving parts require.
He dances by swaying side-to-side and has springs which give him his side-to-side motion.
Whilst not quite the Iron Giant in comparison to my Storm Rider model, the Rockafella represents that Meccano model-making does not always need to be a labour of love, but that can be a totally fun hobby too.
