Tower of Hanoi Puzzle
Built by Peter Clay in March 2005 for the Curved and Circular Parts Only Secretary’s Challenge
This puzzle was invented by French mathematician Edouard Lucas in 1883. A tower of eight discs (various pulleys, gears etc.) was initially stacked in increasing size on one of three rods.
The objective is to transfer the entire tower to one of the other rods moving only one disc at a time and never a larger one onto a smaller.
