Tricycle Delivery Van
Built by John Gillam in September 2005 for the Hinged Flat Plates Secretary’s Challenge
For the Secretary’s Challenge a Motor Tricycle Delivery Van was shown. This was based on one in the 1954–61 Instruction Manual ref 4.26.
The version in the photograph has been modified using axle rods instead of 2.5” strips for the front wheel forks.
The other two models are as follows:
- A work colleague challenged me to build a Meccano model of a bird. I found this design in this 1934 French Manual. What it lacks in anatomical accuracy it makes up for in amusement value.
- An incomplete model of a Helicopter made from a box of parts given to me by the same colleague. The box is a mish-mash of parts but most seem to be from a French set dating from circa 1990.
