Twin-Cylinder Barring Engine
Built by Jim MacCulloch in June 2014
This little construction is a piece of fun by way of experiment!
I was aiming to simulate the twin-cylinder Barring Engine on the Waddon Cross-compound Steam Pumping Engine, as seen at the London Museum of Water and Steam (formerly Kew Bridge Steam Museum). It is sized to fit into my model of the Waddon Engine which many of you will have seen at club meetings and exhibitions.
The next job is to fit it to this model and position it to look reasonably realistic in situ.
