Variable Speed Differential Gearbox

As seen at the back of the Mechanisms Set manual. The differential adds the speeds of the two road wheels. Since they are turning in opposite directions they tend to cancel out unless they are moved away from centre by adjusting the arm. So it is effectively infinitely variable with forward and reverse.
