Volkswagen Beetle Car

This model is available from Argos, at just under 20. It is not easy to assemble, partly because the flexible plates used for the front of the car and the mudguards are now made from spring steel, and cannot be rolled to shape.
I don’t think that there are enough ‘curves’ in the body for it to be an accurate model of a VW Beetle (I was reminded of the Citroen 2CV). The colour doesn’t suit Meccano.
Possibly the most notable feature of this set is a new spanner — similar to the old version, but with one end as a box spanner.
