Built by Brian Leach in September 2013 for the Sci-Fi Secretary’s Challenge

From the 2008 animated movie by Pixar. It took three hours to build and a number of simplifications have had to be made:

  1. The caterpillar tracks are rubber bands.
  2. The arms are statically fixed to the body, instead of moving around the front and top edge.
  3. The head is not pivoted. The eye shape has not been accurately recreated.
