Weird Clock

In September 2014 Geog Eiermann showed his ‘Weird Clock’ on the Spanner Internet newsgroup. This is my version.

It has two minute hands. The outer blue one gains five minutes every hour and the inner yellow one loses five minutes an hour. It is possible to tell the time with it.

There is an ordinary clock at the back so you can check your guess. The handle on the side turns the minute hand of the ordinary clock one revolution for each turn.

Argentine 55-tooth and 65-tooth gears are used to get the correct ratios in simple chains with Meccano 60-tooth gears.
