Royal Albert Bridge

The real bridge is in Saltash, Cornwall, and is one of Brunel’s greatest masterpieces. The model is to a scale of 1:100 and is 9’ long. There is a broad gauge steam train on the bridge, which is pulled across by string. The winding drums are hidden in the towers and are turned by hand because it is not practical to motorise the operation.
