Single Cylinder Steam Engine

A classic model that is not too difficult to build, taken from the 1937 Set L with strip plates used in its construction.

  • The first photo shows a version powered by a E20R motor with appropriate reduction gearing.
  • The second photo shows a version with a stronger flywheel construction fitted with a Dave Taylor EM series motor.

Both version run well, if the crankshaft is aligned correctly, and are modified in that the governor drives use belts instead of chains.
