Bracing Meccano Maths

Exploring the combining of Meccano strips to form bracing, as described in the paper Meccano Math I written by Gerard ’d Hooft at the Institute for Theoretical Physics, Utrecht University, and Spinoza Institute.

These are the ratios I used:

  • A, B, C
  • 1, 2√2, 3
  • 1, 12√2, 17
  • √2, √2, 2
  • √2, 7√2, 10
  • 1, 1, √2
  • 1, 7, 5√2

If any of you can come up with practical applications for these I would be very curious to learn more.
