Teddies’ Playground

This model has been built in memory of my childhood spent with my late brother, Adrian Ashford, who was Chairman of SELMEC until his unexpected passing in December 2018.
As children, we both developed a love of modelling and enjoyed using Meccano, Minibrix and Tinkertoy. Adrian was also a keen railway modeller.
I built a swing with my very first Meccano set, so the inspiration for this playground came from my memory. It also reflects my lifelong love of teddy bears! (Note the adult bear ‘supervision’!)
