Radio-Controlled Car

In 1990 the constructor built a radio-controlled car using a 27MHz system and it worked well in the model shown in the photo.

Due to the growth of mobile phones since that time the 27 MHz system no longer works properly, and was discarded. Thought was given to purchase of a 2.7GHz system for a new version of this model but, due to COVID-19 and a house move, this did not happen.

In 2023 the model was rebuilt with a slightly revised design for the front axle, differential and various bearings that were thought suspect. The model was thoroughly tested at an event in the Liverpool area and some defects were found, but no photo of it was taken before the model was dismantled for future rebuilding.
