This was a second-hand purchase, and as it had been competently put together by its original owner, about my only significant change is because I thought the link between engine nozzles and airframe looked rather insubstantial.
Well; there’s another reason, which is the cardboard box that came closest to fitting the model was a bit short, but making the engines removable was enough for it to go in.
I think the extra flame red part I’ve added is much closer to the colour Gerry Anderson used for TB2’s engines than the black conical parts that Meccano put in the set (without even bothering to mould them from more suitably coloured plastic).
