Canadian Pacific Steam Locomotive
Built by Chris Warrell in January 2013
This was going to be a copy of model 7.14 Canadian Pacific Railway Locomotive from the 1928 set 7 manual. Superficially, it looks good in the photo. It was only when I started to build it that I discovered a few things I didn’t like: the loco and tender are one single vehicle — there’s no joint between the two; the side walkways around the boiler are “out of gauge”; the wheels of the tender are to a different gauge from the loco!; the piston rod is connected directly to the front driving wheel so there’s no way they’ll turn.
As a consequence of this, my model is only partly constructed!
