Carriage Clock

Almost to scale. There is only enough space inside for the 12:1 reduction between the minute and hour hand. So the clock is powered from outside. It was first shown at the Heath Robinson museum so this is quite appropriate.

The outside system is a 100:1 motor running at about 6000rpm at 9V. Then there is a 3,600:1 reduction to the minute hand.
