Castle Entrance Gate
Built by Brian Elvidge in June 2017 for the Castles, Forts and Siege Engines Secretary’s Challenge
In response to the Challenge, I have constructed a modeller’s licence castle entrance gate, with a hand operated drawbridge and a portcullis, which can be raised and lowered by a hand operated wheel, or dropped at speed, by disengaging a ratchet and pawl system.
