Centre Lathe

Based on a model from the 1920s. I was inspired to build this model having acquired several of the pleasing hand wheels from — I think — the Marklin system. The model has several working motions — adjustable tailstock, saddle and cross-slide. Instead of the faceplate of the original I constructed a small working 3-jaw independent chuck using a solid brass 6-hole bush wheel and three couplings. I finally found a use for the fork piece to simulate a cutting tool!
