Built by Brian Leach in March 2008 for the Braced Girders Secretary’s Challenge
Model made for a challenge to use as many braced girders as possible. A very simple fan wth three blades. The braced girders provide finger chopping protection. Ideally they should all be double braced, but I am limited on parts.
The 3,000 rpm shaft of the EU1072 motor is used, but it is unfortunately underpowered. The real speed is probably only about 1,500 rpm which is way below what a mains induction motor would achieve.
