Hole Punch
Built by Chris Fry in September 2006 for the Crane Building Kit Models Secretary’s Challenge
A hole punch for making plastic Meccano plates. Most good model shops stock a range of “Plasticard” sheets in a variety of thickness and colour. The model was restricted to the contents of the meccano “crane kit” parts list as one of the SELMEC Secretary’s Challenge models.
One slight “cheat” was incorporated — the model uses a short length of silver steel, with a flat-ground tip for the punch.
