The South East London Meccano Club meets quarterly and holds its annual Meccano Show in this large modern hall, which has wheelchair access via a wide ramp and toilet facilities for the disabled.

There is plenty of table space for models on the 6’ × 2’ tables, and electricity can be supplied to most tables if required.

Parking

Buses

Route B16 serves the Falconwood Community Centre stops (J and K), which are directly opposite Falconwood Community Centre. Routes 624 and 658, which also serve these stops, do not operate on Saturdays.

Directions

By car from the A2 coming from Dartford

Take the exit toward Riefield Road, then turn right onto Riefield Road. Once over the A2 bridge turn right onto Lingfield Crescent (next to Falconwood Station), turn left at the mini-roundabout remaining on Lingfield Crescent, follow it as it turns right, then turn left onto Millbrook Avenue, turn right onto Northumberland Avenue, turn left onto The Green, then fork left onto Falconwood Parade. The Community Centre will be on the left.

By car from the A2 coming from London

At Dover Patrol, exit onto Rochester Way. At the Well Hall roundabout, take the 2nd exit and stay on Rochester Way, then turn left onto Lingfield Crescent at Falconwood Station. Turn left at the mini-roundabout remaining on Lingfield Crescent, follow it as it turns right, then turn left onto Millbrook Avenue, turn right onto Northumberland Avenue, turn left onto The Green, then fork left onto Falconwood Parade. The Community Centre will be on the left.

By train from Falconwood Railway Station

Falconwood Station is on the Bexleyheath Line (Dartford and Medway Towns, via Bexleyheath, to London Charing Cross and London Victoria) and is a 10–15 minute walk from Falconwood Community Centre. The station has steps down to the platforms and does not have lifts. Welling station (see below) has step-free access.

From the station building, turn left and then left again at the mini-roundabout onto Lingfield Crescent. Then turn left onto Millbrook Avenue, right onto Northumberland Avenue, and left onto The Green. Finally turn left onto Falconwood Parade and you will see Falconwood Community Centre on the left.

If you prefer to catch a bus, exit the station and turn left and then left again at the mini-roundabout where you will find a bus stop. Route B16 serves the Falconwood Community Centre stops (J and K), which are directly opposite Falconwood Community Centre.

By train from Welling Railway Station

Welling Station is on the Bexleyheath Line (Dartford and Medway Towns, via Bexleyheath, to London Charing Cross and London Victoria). The station has step-free access to the platforms.

To catch a bus to Falconwood Community Centre, exit via either station approach and turn left onto Central Avenue. Then turn left onto Bellegrove Road where you will find a bus stop located outside the shops. Route B16 serves the Falconwood Community Centre stops (J and K), which are directly opposite Falconwood Community Centre.
