The Five Holes or Fewer Secretary’s Challenge
This Challenge took place at our January 2019 Meeting
This Challenge was an idea from Brian Leach. It was to build any model, but only using parts that have a maximum of five holes.
So, any standard Strip up to 2½” long — the new strips with ¼” spacing will allow only a 34mm (approx 13/8”) Strip. Brass parts with holes drilled through from one side to another were counted as one hole per drilling, so a standard Collar, part 59, will have two holes; the ‘4-hole’ Collar will have three holes; a Short Coupling, five holes, but a standard Coupling will have too many at seven holes. Hopefully, you get the idea!
