Much Modified E15R Motor
Built by Les Chatfield in June 2014
This comprises the sideplates and reversing switch of an old unreliable motor which had consistently been a source of problems in the past. So I “re-engined” it with a large 12V motor originating from a VCR. I turned down the motors pulley to fit a standard Meccano worm and arranged matters so the pinion shaft could run in the E15Rs original bearings. The motor is connected through the E15Rs original reversing switch because I needed to brace the sideplates at this point and also I liked the chunky nature of the reversing switch itself.
