Tambourine
Built by Ralph Laughton in January 2013 for the Musical Instruments Secretary’s Challenge
Sue’s triangle reminded me of my infant school band, and it occurred to me that a tambourine would make the perfect complement to the triangle.
A couple of flanged rings are spaced apart using 1½” strips attached at every-other hole. A pair of wheel discs are held in place on a short rod by rubber pulleys, spaced between the strips and the flanged rings.
Nice and simple, and it works!
