Thames Tideway Tunnel Boring Machine
Built by John Gay in September 2018 for the Tunnels Secretary’s Challenge
This 900 ton tunnelling machine was used to bore the 16 mile Thames Tideway Tunnel ‘Super Sewer’, the deepest tunnel ever to be dug under London, which runs from West to East London.
