Refuse Truck

This model was inspired by the Dinky Toy Bedford dustcart first announced in October 1948 (model 25v/252). The model has the sliding shutters of the original but needs more work on the details. Still to be added are a cab interior, steering front wheels, a tilting mechanism, an opening rear door and a floor to the refuse compartment. If you look closely at the Dinky Toy you’ll see it has no mudguards over the rear wheels, but I added some anyway. It looked somehow incomplete without them.
