Foden Flat-Bed Truck
Built by Richard Marsden in January 2025 for the Dinky Toys Secretary’s Challenge
The Foden trucks became the must-have post-war Dinky Toys, probably because they were the first to be branded ‘Supertoys’. They must have been popular; all five versions were later reissued with the smiley-face grille replacing the sad-faced one. An obvious choice for a Meccano model. This one was originally Dinky number 502, although I think it was one of the ones later renumbered into a higher range.
