Dumper Truck
Built by Richard Marsden in September 2011
This giant tipper truck is a freelance model, not based on any specific type, but intended to capture the brute size of these machines. The model features coil-sprung front suspension and steering. Axle rods sliding into 5-hole couplings are used to give as much suspension travel as possible, and the wheels are located with double wishbones. To raise and lower the load carrier, an electric motor drives a screwed rod and collar mechanism through reduction gears.
