High-Rise Tower Blocks, East London
Built by John Gay in January 2017 for the Architectural Carbuncles Secretary’s Challenge
Lots of old housing with years of life left were demolished in East London in the 1960s and replaced with high-rise tower blocks like these.
The bricks (by J. W. Spear and Son Ltd.) arranged around the Meccano box lid represent the remaining old housing stock.
