Mathematical Sculpture
Built by Richard Marsden in March 2018 for the No Right-Angled Parts Secretary’s Challenge
I claim no artistic merit for this creation, but it does have some mathematical merit. It consists of four co-prime Pythagorean-triple right-angled triangles aligned along their sides of common length. Despite having four right angles, it contains no right-angle parts; collars, handrail couplings and axle rods are used as connectors. The four triangles are, in size order, 6,8,10, 8,15,17, 7,24,25, and 10,24,26.
