Tower Crane

This is the second of my two tower crane models. The first I sold for £585 at a local exhibition. I do not normally sell my models but who could resist an offer like that (from a retired tower crane driver no less)?

This model came out better than the first one and is powered by three of those tiny motor gearbox units the Chinese make with such verve. It works really well and is one of the few models I can spend hours simply playing with.

Like its full-sized brother it stands on four splayed legs at the foot of its tower which is sufficient to keep it stable. Umpteen thousand 2½” strips nested inside a rectangular flanged plate provided the counterweight.
